Corey J. Smith is a native of McNeill, MS and is a graduate of Poplarville High School. After high school he shipped off to Army National Guard training and became a Blackhawk Helicopter Crew Chief with the 1/185th Aviation Brigade in Jackson, MS. Immediately upon return from training Corey began his college career at Mississippi State University where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha fraternity and involved in many student organizations and intramural activities. He finished the last 30 hours of his degree at the University of Southern Mississippi while working full time in his new career in real estate. He married Carrie Seal Smith in 2005 and they now reside in Picayune, MS. Corey has served the Picayune and surrounding communities for the past 6 years and has achieved many individual accomplishments that have placed him amongst the highest ranks of the South Mississippi Real Estate family. For the past six years, he has represented transactions in excess of $20 million dollars. In addition he is a licensed Mississippi Contractor and is very knowledgeable in the areas of real estate development and investment. Corey has achieved the status of CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) Candidate and has completed and continues to complete Educational Courses/Requirements to sharpen his knowledge and understanding of Commercial Real Estate Investment and Finance. He is the City of Picayune?s appointee to the Pearl River County Utility Authority and strives to learn more about how he can help Pearl River County move into the future.
